Framework
Composure
The game speeds up. You do not have to. Composure is not something you are born with. It is something you train, one pressured possession at a time.
The core idea
Most rec players play at the speed of their emotions. Bad call, rushed shot. Missed layup, forced drive. Composure is the ability to keep your decision speed separate from your emotional speed.
How to train it
- Notice the exact moment your emotions take over. Name it in real time.
- Build one reset ritual between possessions: breath, stance, eyes up.
- Practice playing slow in fast moments instead of matching the chaos.
